THE OBAGI NU-DERM SYST EM: SKIN CARE REGIMEN

Below is a standard protocol for how the products in the system are used. Two weeks after beginning on the skin care regimen
please arrange an office visit so that Dr. Bahi can evaluate your skin’s reaction to the Nu-Derm system.
Preparing the Skin: (Morning)
CLEANSE: Use the gentle cleanser or foaming gel and apply to wet face and neck, rinse with lukewarm
water and gently pat dry, avoid rubbing the skin with a towel.
TONER: Apply to the entire face and neck with a cotton ball or cotton square
CLEAR: Apply evenly on the entire face and neck, extending to the hairline, and over the ears, wait until the
Clear is completely dry before applying the Exoderm.
EXFODERM: Apply evenly over the entire face, avoiding the eye area as stinging may occur. Wait until the
cream is absorbed before moving on to the next step.
SUNFADER: Apply to the entire face and neck. Use SPF 35 if you are going to be in direct sunlight,
reapply often while in the sun. Always avoid prolonged direct sun exposure. SPF 15 apply every day that
you are not applying the SPF 35.

Preparing the Skin: (Night)
1) CLEANSE: Use the gentle cleanser or foaming gel and apply to wet face and neck, rinse with lukewarm water
and gently pat dry, avoid rubbing the skin with a towel. 2) TONER: Apply to the entire face and neck with a cotton ball or cotton square.
3) CLEAR: Apply evenly on the entire face and neck, extending to the hairline, and over the ears, wait until the
Clear is completely dry before applying the Blender and Tretinoin. If you have darker skin then only apply the
Clear to your darker areas at night.
4) BLENDER AND TRETINOIN: Take ½ gram of Blender and a pea sized amount of Tretinoin (if prescribed),
and mix together. Apply evenly on the entire face and neck, extending to the hairline, and over the ears. Avoid corners of the lips and creases around the nose. The Tretinoin should be used as often as recommended by Dr. Bahi.
Protecting your Skin:
Apply sunscreen in order to protect the skin from harsh UVA and UVB rays at all times. Prolonged sun exposure should be
avoided while on the Nu-Derm system.
